What does Velship Labs do?
Velship Labs is a design and technology studio based in Luanda, Angola. We turn ideas into useful digital solutions, from websites and mobile apps to AI automation, for businesses, enterprises and government institutions in Angola and around the world.
Who do you work with?
Businesses, enterprises and government institutions, in Angola and abroad: growing companies, professional-service firms, founders and agencies. They usually come with a new idea, an outdated website or a repetitive process. We also develop products of our own, in parallel with client work.
Can I hire design on its own?
Yes. Design & branding can be commissioned on its own or as part of a wider engagement, without a software build.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on the scope. Before we start, you get a written scope, timeline and price, so there are no surprises.
How long does a project take?
It depends on what we are building. We work in weekly steps, so you see working software early and decide what comes next. The timeline is agreed in writing before we start.
Do you work with clients outside Angola?
Yes. We are based in Luanda and work with clients remotely, in English and Portuguese.
Do you use AI to build software?
Yes. AI supports our design and development work and helps us iterate. Experienced people direct and review that work, and remain responsible for what we deliver.
Who owns the code and the accounts after launch?
Ownership is agreed in writing for each engagement. Agreed deliverables, such as the source code, the documentation and accounts set up for you, are handed over to you. Our reusable methods and tools, and third-party components, stay under their own terms.
Do you offer support after launch?
Yes, through Care: maintenance and ongoing improvement under a support arrangement agreed for each solution. Larger changes are scoped separately.
Do you run advertising or social media?
No. We do not currently offer advertising, paid media, social-media management or marketing campaigns. We design brand identities and digital assets for you to use, and we build websites that search engines can read.
Why choose a studio in Luanda?
You work with people in your own time zone, in your language, who understand how customers in Angola use phones, WhatsApp and local payments.
Can you connect local payment methods?
Where the payment provider offers an integration for your case, yes. At the start we check what is available for your business and tell you plainly if something is not possible.
Will my website or app work on slow connections?
We design for it: light pages, small downloads and screens that stay useful when the connection drops.
Can customers contact me on WhatsApp from the website?
Yes. We add a WhatsApp button that opens a chat with your number and the customer's message already written, next to a normal contact form.
